A New Way Of Being Grateful
Spending time thinking about what you are grateful for helps you feel happier in life. There are plenty of research that supports this, and there are thousands of different gratitude journals you can buy in the book store.
Something that I am currently doing is slightly different from your typical gratitude journalling, where you normally list down all the things you are grateful for in your life or what has happened during your day.
The way I do my gratitude journalling is writing down a list of things that I am grateful for within myself. My own attributes that make me who I am. The list could look something like this:
I am grateful for:
- My incredible work ethic, because it makes me show up every day even when I sometimes feel that I don’t want to.
- My curiosity to learn, because it allows me to see the world and expand my own belief of what is true.
- My vulnerability, because I dare to risk being hurt so that I can experience love deeply.
I don’t always do this, but the mornings I wake up potentially feeling low in energy, low in spirit or a bit lost I will make sure to make a full list and re-shift my energy so a much more empowering one.
